Install software customized for use with the controller. Ladders or blocks can be run from it. No reboot is required and minor changes to the control software can be made online. 1/O packages and the controller&＃39;s clock are synchronized within 100 microseconds via R, S and T IONet using the IEEE 1588 protocol. Through R, S and T IONets, external data is sent to and received from the control system database in the controller. This includes the process inputs and outputs of the 1/0 module.

In addition, in a dual system, these are:

synchronization and status information for both controllers

This also includes the following in a triple modular redundancy (TMR) system:

Synchronization information, polled internal state values and status from all three controllers

UCSB bootstrap LED:

In the absence of errors, the boot LED remains on throughout the boot process. If an error is detected, the LED flashes once per second (Hz). the LED flashes for 500 ms and then goes off. the LED remains off for three seconds after the flashing phase. The blink count shows the failure condition.
